The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

1986, Penn State was to play the Crimson Tide at Beaver Stadium. My friends and I penned the offensive linemen living in Shunk Hall, our dorm, into their rooms right before they were to leave for their off campus hotel the day before the game. Man, were they made. But they couldn't pound their way out. We let them out of course. The following week we were on the elevator coming from the dining hall when the doors opened on the 4th floor, we lived on the sixth. All of a sudden, there was the offensive line with large buckets of water. The water cascaded into the elevator drenching us. We proceeded to the 5th floor and the doors opened again. Nothing. We thought that was the last of it. Wrong. When the doors opened on our floor, the 6th, again we got pounded with buckets of water. What great memories! Today, my wife, an OSU Buckeye law grad (ugh) and I have two wonderful kids, Jake,9 and Abbey, 8. They are active in soccer and gymnastics and I only hope they both choose to become Nittany Lions and not Buckeyes when it's time to choose a college!
